Each student will receive a one-year student version of ESRl's ArcPro software with extensions and access to free virtual campus courses.
Introduction to GIS is a required course for a Certificate and AS degree in GIS at Mt. San Jacinto College and an elective for AA degree in Geography for transfer to CSU/UC-some institutions require introduction to GIS completion prior to transfer.
RIo Hondo college
Rio Hondo College's GIS Program offers a CA Certificate of Achievement for Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The CA state approved program offers convenient scheduled courses at community college fees for working professionals. Classrooms, and curriculum are developed with input from local GIS industry leaders. Students can transfer courses to 4 year institutions. Several courses are offered in the fall and spring. Introduction to GIS is offered during the summer with field trip to Esri International Conference.
Cal State San Bernardino
Along with our B.A. degrees, we offer a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Our GIS certificate provides training in computer based digital mapping, geospatial data analysis, and remote sensing techniques, from fundamental concepts to advanced applications, giving students technical and administrative skills needed in the job market.
